A short while ago, I was in the city of Jerusalem for my very first TBEX conference.
For those of you who may not know, TBEX is the travel blogging industry’s biggest conference and they decided to hold one in Jerusalem.
This was great for me as I live in the country and I had made it my goal to attend a TBEX in 2017 anyway.
So I spent six days at the end of March attending keynotes, meeting loads of new people and exploring the heck out of this city.
I came into Jerusalem thinking that I already knew what it was about.
But what I discovered shocked me.
When people think of Jerusalem, they think of history, religion and tension. I can’t really blame them, that’s how the media portrays the city.
But it turns out that Jerusalem is not just old, religious & historic but is actually also new, progressive & exciting.
There’s a lively art scene, great nightlife, top notch public transportation & mouthwatering food.
And even more so, you get the feeling that you’re in the centre of the world – that you can find everyone and everything there. So many different religions and populations inhabit the city together so no wonder that’s the feeling you get when visiting.
I didn’t expect to fall in love with Jerusalem the way I had. I had no idea that Jerusalem was secretly a cool city.
To give you a quick glimpse at how great Jerusalem actually is, I’m going to share with you some of my favourite photos from my time there.
There will be many more posts on Jerusalem to come, but I had to share with you some of my favourite shots of the city. After all, as well as Jerusalem being a secretly cool, metropolitan city, it’s also very visually pleasing.
Did you know that the city of Jerusalem was secretly really cool? Would you like to visit now that you’ve seen some photos? Feel free to share below!
